We partner with organizations to create an extraordinary "culture of philanthropy" — more thoughtful, more innovative, and more inspiring.
Our programs have been a significant experience for hundreds of professionals, civic leaders, and philanthropists around the world — often a turning point in their careers (and in their lives).
Core Curriculum: The Philanthropic Quest
This isn't the same old "fundraising training." Our retreats, workshops, and customized programs are built on the proven strength-based methods of The Philanthropic Quest™ — a strategic approach to releasing human energy (including money) and inspiring social innovation. This system has been quietly developed, refined, and field-tested by hundreds of leaders from all walks of life and every corner of the world ... and are now being offered publicly for the first time, so you can use them to energize your organization or cause.
At the heart of our curriculum is a highly engaged two-day learning-and-action strategic retreat that stretches beyond the conventional wisdom of the development profession. Participants learn how to expand the boundaries of what people believe is possible … open up new vistas for the philanthropist, for the organization or cause, and for society … and release human energy (including but not limited to money) for the greater good. At least one organizational leader must attend a public workshop before on-site delivery can be considered.
Teach the Teacher
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR FALL 2017 TEACH THE TEACHER
Because of the extensive support provided, only a few organizations can be accommodated. To be considered, please be sure to attend the July core curriculum workshop. (This is required if you are not already a workshop alum, recommended for everyone.) Of course, we're glad to speak with you about any questions even before you attend a workshop.
Certification for your staff
The "Teach the Teacher" program brings our proven core curriculum into your organization by preparing selected individuals from your staff to deliver it. (This is often called a “train-the-trainer” approach.)
Once qualified, your certified teachers will be able to deliver the curriculum within your organization, while receiving extensive support from us.
We will also work with you to customize the program materials to fit your organizational culture, and to create a plan to deliver the program and assess results.
The first step for decision-makers and prospective teachers-in-training is to attend a workshop with us. Then together we can look at whether this program is the right fit for your organization's specific culture and goals. (Of course, we invite you to be in touch with any questions even before you attend a workshop.)
Consider teach-the-teacher if you want to …
- Build internal staff capability and provide meaningful new leadership opportunities for development officers you want to retain and develop as leaders.
- Scale the program quickly and guarantee access to it for your people.
- Integrate our curriculum into your existing professional growth programs.
- Reduce the per-person investment significantly, while maintaining quality.
- Have the workshop delivered by people who are deeply familiar with your organization’s culture and language.
